Family, I’m so disappointed to share that due to the weather I was unable to travel to The Ambies in New York City. We made alternate arrangements but as the reports worsened we decided to err on the side of caution. And as I write this it appears we made the correct decision. So thank you Dianne, Quai, Kim, Danie, Kristy, Julie, Becky, Carolyn, Lisa, Susan, Dominic, Lairen, Rachael, my cousin Walter & Jano. I really appreciate you all contributing to the Help Anna Get to the Ambies campaign. Your contributions might just get me to Los Angeles instead for the GLAAD honors. I will keep you all posted as I continue to trust the process. If I’ve learned anything over the last five years of full-time entrepreneurship, it is that things rarely go as planned, but they always work out just as they should. Help Make Us BetterThey have extended the survey deadline! First, a BIG thank you to the 32 people who have completed the survey. I’d love at least 50 responses so if you haven’t taken it yet please do. E3 Radio is growing, evolving and your voice matters in that process. Please take our short audience survey to help us better understand you. It takes about 10 minutes and you’ll be entered to win a $100 gift card. Your feedback shapes what we do next. The new deadline is Sunday, March 1st.

New Episode Shine a Light On It: Black Women, HIV & Its Impact I Went Live & Told the World My Status: My Journey to Love and Freedom "I was scared because I knew that me becoming free meant I had to expose myself." In Episode 2 of Shine A Light On It, Anna DeShawn sits down with the incredible Chatrivia. Six years ago, Chatrivia sat in her car, turned on her phone, and told her Facebook community the truth: she had been living with HIV for 14 years. In this moving conversation, they talk about: - The "car video" that changed everything. - Why tacos are the center of her family traditions and business celebrations. - How she escaped an abusive relationship to find a love she never thought was possible. - Her mission to educate the West Side of Chicago and "feed the sheep." Chatrivia reminds us that HIV doesn't have her, that she has a life full of purpose, books, and unconditional love.
Last Week on Queer NewsLast week on Queer News, Anna discusses how the Pride Flag Will Never Fall, a Transgender Bill of Rights is reintroduced & the Seeing Her docu-series is a must-see.

Family, This week during Anna’s Got a Word I talk about breathing through the hard times. When we begin to feel overwhelmed to stop ourselves and breathe in, hold, exhale and then think of something you’re grateful for and do it again. Breathe in, hold, exhale and think of something you’re grateful for. Do it over and over till you feel more balanced. The world is at war, trans rights are under perpetual attack, and so many things just feel upside down. But in the midst of all that there is...
Family, Do you all listen to the end of each episode for Anna’s Got a Word? Reply and let me know. It’s been a staple since season one and before then I had a whole podcast titled “Anna’s Got a Word”. I love ending each episode on a positive note because the news can be so heavy. This week I decided to talk about the power of manifestation. The power we have to speak life over our own lives. our families lives and our dreams. The belief that when you keep a positive mindset, put in the work...
Family, The Ambies ended up being postponed from Monday to Tuesday of last week due to the blizzard. On Tuesday night I gathered on Zoom with some of my fellow nominees and pod friends so we could watch together. I talk about that experience more in my QCrew video this week but it was just what I needed. Now, I didn’t win in my category and there was a momentary feeling of, dang, but then I was ready to move on and cheer for my friends. On this entrepreneurial journey I’m clear we will always...
